RHÔNE WINES REDS

MARQUIS DE SADE CÔTES DU VENTOUX
Mount Ventoux with an altitude of over 6000 feet is very noticeable whether you are driving the auto-route near Avignon or winding through the Luberon. On the south side of the mountain are the vineyards of the Côtes du Ventoux. The Marquis de Sade is a blend of Grenache and Syrah, which gives the wine the taste of dark fruit and a hint of spice. A well balanced wine; it is very smooth in the mouth and has a long finish. The photo is of the Marquis de Sade castle in La Coste, France.
