Yves Rousset-Rouard is a French film producer, the mayor of the beautiful
Luberon village of Ménerbes and is the owner of Domaine de la
Citadelle. His son, Alexis, runs the vineyard. Their wines have won
recognition in France and from the Wine Spectator for their outstanding
quality.
DOMAINE DE LA CITADELLE COTES DU LUBERON CUVEE CHANTAIGNIER
This special Cuvee from Domaine de la Citadelle is a blend of 35% Grenache,
27% Syrah, 22% Carignan, 12% Mourvedre and 12% Cinsault, WOW! The grapes
are hand sorted and slightly crushed before fermentation. The wine is
dark red with purple tinges. The nose displays aromas of red fruit and
black pepper. The taste is of wild berries.
The long finish adds to the enjoyment of drinking this wine. The wine
is young, open at least one hour before drinking.
