Jean Louis Poudou and his fabulous wines from Minervois are the best expression of the Languedoc terroir I have come across in my 23 years of traveling in that region of France. All of his wine including his Vin de Pays offer the drinker a chance to experience wines driven by the passion to be true to the terroir and not manipulate to satisfy the latest fad in wine. Six years ago, I was able to purchase 5 acres of VDP Cabernet Sauvignon, part of a larger estate, that Jean Louis now owns. I import this wine into the US under the LTB (la Tour Boisee) Cabernet Sauvignon label.
